Ellen DeGeneres Snags Powerful Big Screen Role

Emmy-winning talk show host Ellen DeGeneres is set to jump to the big screen for a comedy in which she'll play the all-powerful Mother Nature.

In the film, DeGeneres will return to Earth for the first time since the planet's creation, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

"I've always wanted to control the weather," DeGeneres said. "Nothing will stop me from doing this ... neither rain, nor snow, nor sleet. ... I may be thinking of the postal service -- but I'm really excited about the movie."


Paul Rudd & Jason Segel Premiere 'I Love You, Man' in Los Angeles

ET was on the red carpet at the Mann's Village theater in Hollywood on Tuesday night with Paul Rudd, Jason Segel, Jamie Pressly and Jon Favreau for the premiere of the new comedy 'I Love You, Man,' where Segel explains the importance of a bromance!

"I think it's important, you can't burden your lady with too much of your baggage," Segel says about having guy friends. "You need to break it up a little bit."

Cast member and "The Office" star Rashida Jones compares the concept of bromance to women's liberation.


Stars React to Natasha Richardson News at 'Valentino' Premiere

Gwyneth Paltrow, Anne Hathaway and Regis Philbin were just a few of the stars who glammed it up with Manhattan's social elite at the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) on Tuesday night for the premiere of the fashion doc 'Valentino: The Last Emperor.' In addition to the festivities, Natasha Richardson's condition was present on many people's minds.

Valentino said, "I wish that she's going to recover very, very soon. She's a good friend."

Regis attended the event with wife Joy, and said, "[Natasha and husband Liam Neeson] live next door to us in the other building, and it's a tragedy. We're thinking about them all day. She's back in New York so that's a good sign. We're praying for her."


Clive Owen on 'Duplicity' Co-star Julia Roberts: 'People Go Crazy'

Former 'Closer' co-stars Clive Owen and Julia Roberts reunite on the big screen Friday for the clever corporate spy flick 'Duplicity,' and Clive tells ET that working with Julia is just like "playtime"!

"On 'Closer' we discovered that we like each other, we trust each other, we get on, we've got a very similar sense of humor, so all those things are taken care of," Clive tells ET's Mark Steines. "So really, there's just the excitement of coming together and playing with something new."

The pair traveled to such far-flung locations as Dubai, the Bahamas and Rome, but Clive says watching Julia's fame at work in New York made the biggest impression.


Update: Natasha Richardson in New York, Condition 'Not Good'

ET has the latest...

ET has the latest update on Natasha Richardson's condition.

ET confirms that Richardson has been flown to New York, and sources tell us that the star's condition is "not good" after she fell down a beginner ski slope while taking a private lesson in Canada. Sources tell ET that Richardson's family is headed to New York as well.

A source also tells ET that after her fall there was no apparent injury and Natasha said she was fine.
