Madonna Arrives in Malawi Following Adoption Reports
March 29, 2009 at 10:10 pm

Pop singer Madonna arrived in Malawi Sunday preceding a reported court examination of her proposal to adopt a second child.

Madonna -- who adopted her son David, 3, from Malawi last year -- is said to be looking to adopt a 4-year-old girl and is expected in court on Monday for the adoption proceedings, officials tell the Associated Press.

On Sunday, the singer was seen hand-in-hand with her 12-year-old daughter Lourdes as she toured a village and discussed plans to build a school. She refused to answer questions regarding reports of her adopting a child.
