"[Kingston's] definitely a punk rocker in the making," says Gavin of his son, who turns three in May. "I don't know if he's going to put that punk rocker to use in a band or whether he's going to be like a Svengali manager."

Gavin heads out on tour in support of Wanderlust beginning next month, and this Thursday he performs a couple of his new tunes in "One Splendid Evening" with John Mayer, Jordin Sparks and various artists on board the Carnival Splendor cruise ship at the Port of San Pedro in Los Angeles, all to benefit VH1's Save the Music Foundation.

David Cook Issues Privacy Plea to Fans
March 23, 2009 at 7:20 pm

Last season's "American Idol" champ David Cook is apparently getting a little overwhelmed by certain overly aggressive fans and has issued a plea for privacy while on tour.

Writing on his MySpace Celebrity blog under the headline "Attention," Cook says, "The efforts by some fans to find our hotel rooms, call our hotel rooms, attach things to our bus, etc., is something I have to condemn. This relationship only works when it remains healthy for both parties, and should this behavior continue, the only thing we can do is take more preventative measures to maintain our privacy, which in turn makes us less accessible to you."

The 26-year-old singer, who is currently touring with his band in support of his self-titled album, adds that although the vibe "has been amazing" at recent shows and that he prides himself on being accessible to fans, "We do enjoy what little privacy we can muster."
