ETonline - Music Tyra Banks Gets 'Excellence' GLAAD Award March 29, 2009 at 10:45 am Supermodel Tyra Banks was presented the prestigious Excellence in Media Award from The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) by singer Clay Aiken. In addition to the special award, Banks' daily talk show as well as "America's Next Top Model" have been nominated for GLAAD Awards. The ceremony Saturday night in New York was the first of three planned by the organization, which honors media companies and individuals for fair, accurate and inclusive representations of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender communities. In addition to the special award, Banks' daily talk show and "America's Next Top Model" have both been nominated for GLAAD Awards.
