According to reports, the 62-year-old actress, who is battling anal cancer, has been admitted to a clinic near her Los Angeles home. Entertainment Tonight reports that Fawcett’s partner Ryan O’Neal is trying to secure a temporary jail release for their son Redmond - who is serving time in a rehab jail on drugs charges - so he can be by the Charlie’s Angels star’s bedside. A representative for the star says, “We are not disclosing where she is at this time. She continues to be treated for her condition.” In a TV interview, due to air in the U.S. on Friday (26Jun09), O’Neal reveals Fawcett is “fighting for her life” but that he plans to marry her as soon as she’s well enough to exchange vows. In April (09), Fawcett was hospitalised for internal bleeding not directly related to her ongoing cancer battle. She recently learned the disease had spread to her liver and underwent chemotherapy. The actor paraded through a rain-soaked Coney Island on Saturday — surrounded by a few hundred scantily-clad mermaids. But this wasn’t a movie shoot — Keitel was King Neptune at the annual Mermaid Parade. The bash has been held yearly since 1983, and previous kings have included Moby and Queen Latifah. And Keitel relished the role. The actor — pictured above with his wife Daphna, the Mermaid Queen - said, “As Mel Brooks said, it’s good to be the king.” Hilton calls police over will.i.am 'assault' June 22, 2009 at 6:38 am Black Eyed Peas star will.i.am is facing a police quiz after celebrity blogger Perez Hilton alleged he was assaulted by the hip-hop star and his entourage following an awards show. Hilton and will.i.am clashed at a party after the MuchMusic Video Awards in Canada on Sunday night (21Jun09) over comments the gossip king posted on his website. He alleged he was left bleeding and in shock when the Black Eyed Peas star attacked him - and called in police who are investigating the incident. But will.i.am immediately hit back - insisting there was no violence and that crazed Hilton had branded him a “f**got” as they argued outside a nightclub in Toronto. In a series of messages on Twitter.com following the incident, Hilton wrote: “I was assaulted by Will.I.Am of the Black Eyed Peas and his security guards. I am bleeding. Please, I need to file a police report. No joke… Still waiting for the police. The bleeding has stopped. I need to document this. Please, can the police come to the SoHo Met Hotel. “I spoke to my lawyer. I really need to talk to the authorities… The Toronto police are here now… The police are investigating the assault now. I did the right thing by reporting it… I won’t be talking about this any further. It is in the hands of the authorities.” But will.i.am insists he is innocent, and it was a “crazed fan” who confronted Hilton after the pair argued. In a video on his website, the star says he spoke to Hilton after the blogger made “disrespectful” comments about his Black Eyed Peas bandmate Fergie. He says, “So I go up to him and say, ‘Hey, can you do me a favour, Perez?… Can you not be so blatantly rude to our group on your website? That’s just wrong - you don’t have to be disrespectful.’ He said, ‘I don’t respect you.’ I was like, ‘What? Ok, if you don’t respect me that’s cool.’ “This dude walks away and I leave and then he says, ‘That was very f**got of you for coming at me like that.’… So this dude says in front of a whole bunch of people, ‘You’re a f**got, will.i.am!’ So I’m like, ‘Wow, whatever.’ So he walks away and then one of the fans gets all crazy and starts on Perez Hilton. I’m just sitting there minding my own business waiting for a car. But it just shows you how crazy things can get.
