Candy Spelling is going with a scorched-earth strategy vis-a-vis her estrangement from daughter Tori of Famous Original 90210 — now she’s accusing the Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood star of hastening her father Aaron’s death. Last month, we heard socialite Candy boo-hoo-ing that Tori didn’t return her calls, and taking to her website to plead with Tori to get in touch. But if that’s what Candy wants, she’s got a strange way of going about it: Candy chose to reveal to a morning radio show on Thursday that Tori’s decision to cut her family out of her life killed her father, TV titan Aaron Spelling. Candy told the Kellogg Crew on 94.7 WMAS in Massachusetts that Tori turning her back on them “killed my husband. He just didn’t want to live after that.” Added Candy, “He’d done everything he could possibly do for his daughter and then she wanted no part of him once he couldn’t do anything for her.” Candy and Tori have warred in the press since Aaron’s death in 2006, with Candy claiming she has yet to meet her own grandchildren, but with accusations like that getting slung about, it’s not hard to see why (although we’re not saying we don’t believe some of it; it’s not like Tori could have had an acting career without Aaron’s intercession). Also, the man was 83 years old when he died. The likeliest cause of death there? Being…83 years old. |
