Actor Bruce Willis has filed a multimillion-dollar lawsuit against the producers of a movie that he was to direct and star in.

In the cross-complaint, Willis alleges that producer Moshe Diamant and others falsely represented that they had full financing to produce a movie entitled '3 Stories About Joan,' according to Willis' rep. The cross-complaint seeks punitive damages, as well as compensatory damages of $8.7 million.

The action by Willis comes after three production sued and alleged that Willis was in breach of contract for quitting as director of '3 Stories About Joan' on Sept. 29, 2008, without notice. The companies were Foresight Unlimited, Signature Entertainment Group and Three Stories Productions.
