Where will Jacko be buried?
July 8, 2009 at 4:18 pm

Now the funeral is over, a massive MJ-sized battle is brewing over the King of Pop’s final resting place.

Jackson was expected to be buried at Los Angeles’ Forest Lawn cemetery after the memorial service on Tuesday — but the burial never happened, prompting speculation his brothers are battling his mother over their plans to lay the star to rest at the Neverland Ranch.

Jermaine Jackson wants his brother to be buried at Neverland — which would open the way for the California estate to be turned into a moneyspinning Graceland-style tourist attraction.

A legal battle with California authorities - who ban burials on private estates - would explain the delay.

But reports today suggest matriarch Katherine Jackson is fighting the plans, because she believes her son wanted to wash his hands of Neverland after cops raided it in 2003, following his arrest on child molestation charges.

We think he’ll end up at Neverland - there’s just too much money at stake. But stranger things have happened…

Theron's hospital drama

Charlize Theron was hospitalised last week with a stomach virus, reports the National Enquirer.

The Oscar winner reportedly spent four nights in an LA hospital after picking up a bug during an overseas trip.

Her boyfriend Stuart Townsend is quoted as telling pals, ”I was scared to death. I had no idea what was happening to her, but this is a woman who never complains, so I knew it had to be serious.”

The publication claims the actress was discharged from hospital after being given a series of antibiotics and is now back to full health.

The latest stop on the Britney Spears roadshow? Paris

WENN caught up with the pop princess and her two sons on on Tuesday checking out the famous Eiffel Tower ahead of a performance in the French capital.

Britney may need to curtail any plans she has to hit Paris’ famous boutiques during her stay — after the revelation she’s only the fourth highest-paid celebrity under the age of 30.

According to Forbes magazine she made $35 million (£23.3 million) in 2008, trailing Beyonce and sports stars LeBron James and Kimi Raikkonen.

Apparently this is Britney Spears in a new ad for U.S clothing firm Candie’s.

We say ‘apparently’, because it looks like airbrush magicians have gone berserk and created a cartoon version of the pop princess.

The pictures have upset parents’ groups, who claim photoshopped pictures give teens unrealistic goals.

Candie’s have hit back insisting they only altered Britney’s tan and touched up her roots — but we’re not convinced.

Where was Debbie?

While Michael Jackson’s nearest and dearest toasted him at yesterday’s LA memorial, there was one notable absentee — his ex-wife Debbie Rowe.

WENN caught up with the former nurse on her California ranch, 60 miles away from the Staples Center.

Rowe had planned to join her two children with Jackson, Prince Michael I and Paris, at the service — but backed out at the last minute.

Her attorney Marta Almli revealed, “Although Debbie had originally planned to attend the Staples Center memorial service, we have concluded with Debbie that she will not be attending.

“The onslaught of media attention has made it clear her attendance would be an unnecessary distraction to an event that should focus exclusively on Michael’s legacy. Debbie will continue to celebrate Michael’s memory privately.”

Presumably her encounter this week with a paparazzo whose “butt” she threatened to “kick” didn’t help.

The real Moonwalk

Future astronauts will be able to pay tribute to Michael Jackson, by Moonwalking across a lunar crater named after the king of pop.

As a tribute to the late superstar, the Lunar Republic have allocated him a crater in the Moon’s Lake of Dreams

Jackson wasn’t a stranger to all things lunar… the crater sits close to a 1,200 parcel of land the Moonwalker star’s bought back in 2005.

Jackson's kids under the spotlight

Michael Jackson’s kids were the real fascination at yesterday’s memorial service.

Hidden away from the world for most of their lives, Prince Michael, Paris and Blanket stood shoulder to shoulder with the King of Pop’s parents and siblings at the Staples Center ceremony — and stepped onstage at the end, before Paris brought the house down with an emotional tribute to her dad.

It was incredibly brave of them to face the world while still coming to terms with the death of their father — and some have questioned if it was right for them to even be there.

Paris’ words seemed a little scripted, and it was hard to tell if the semi-circle of Jacksons behind her were comforting her or forcing her to the mic.

But a showstopping, tear-jerking finale is the least we should have expected from this farewell for one of the world’s greatest showmen.

Are wedding bells on the horizon for supermodel Kate Moss and her rocker beau Jamie Hince?

Moss sported a huge rock on her wedding finger during a recent trip to Paris, France.

And she flashed the same sparkler when WENN exclusively caught up with the couple on a shopping trip in London on Tuesday.

The beauty has been dating the The Kills guitarist since her split from singer Pete Doherty in 2007.

Soggy Potter

These three teen wizards couldn’t stop the rain from lashing down on the red carpet at last night’s Harry Potter premiere.

Flunkies with giant umbrellas had to race around to keep Daniel Radcliffe, (a swine flu-free) Rupert Grint and Emma Watson dry, as they squelched around greeting fans.

Radcliffe is the heartthob of choice for a generation of wizard-obsessed teenage girls — but don’t try telling that to the man himself.

The actor insists he’s hopeless with women and has yet to reap the rewards of being a big-time movie star.

The 19 year 0ld said, “If girls like me, it has not been proven yet. OK, I go to the red carpet in Tokyo and thousands of girls scream at me… but the me that sits in a darkened room watching cricket for eight hours with a bowl of pasta in his underwear and socks is not quite so attractive to girls.”
