We’re not sure if that means it never happened — of if the proposal was a joke. Either way, we can’t imagine wedding-obsessed JLH is impressed. She recently gave her beau a year to pop the question. But TMZ.com is claiming Jamie will relinquish his conservatorship in November, after deciding Britney has proved to him she can be trusted with her money. Will partygirl Britney return? Cameron has been showing a lot of interest while he is in London filming. Well he did – at Long Beach, California’s Laugh Factory on Saturday night, according to the New York Post. The Post reports Kennedy pulled Love Hewitt onstage, dropped to his knee and proposed. Let’s hope it fares better than the actress’ last engagement. It looked like Abdul was going to going to be sent to the reality TV scrap heap, after failing to agree a new deal with the show’s bosses. Her fate seemed sealed when her manager laid into Idol producers, saying, “Very sadly, it does not appear that she’s going to be back on Idol. I find it, under these circumstances, particularly unusual; I think unnecessarily hurtful. “I find it kind of unconscionable and certainly rude and disrespectful that they haven’t stepped up and said what they want to do.” All this because they wouldn’t double her salary to $20 million – so say the gossips. Fans on Twitter got wind of the story and used the site to launch a campaign to save Abdul and convince Fox TV executives to keep their favorite judge in place. And it looks like it’s worked. Cowell –  Abdul’s nemesis on the show — has actually stepped up and backed her up, insisting “She’ll be fine. She’ll be on the show. I don’t get a lot of say. I’ve just made it clear that I want Paula on the show.” Then again… this could all be one big publicity stunt. Burgled Bloom is back on his feet July 21, 2009 at 5:00 am We were glad to see Orlando Bloom could still afford to fill up his car with gas when we ran into him in Hollywood over the weekend — just days after burglars robbed his LA home of $500,000 in jewellery. To his credit, Bloom’s taking it on his chin:  “Nobody died. We could have lost a lot more stuff in the world, there wasn’t that much. People are suffering a lot more at the moment.
