He praises the 47-year-old Scottish singer with an angelic voice in the new issue of TV Guide Magazine, on newsstands Thursday, saying, "It's just the most wonderful story." "She was sitting home a few weeks ago, all alone with her cat, and no one's ever heard of her, apart from six people," says Simon, "and now you've got 150 million people daily talking about her in America, and people camped outside her house. That's incredible." Earlier this month, Boyle wowed Simon and his fellow judges overseas on "Britain's Got Talent" with her incredible singing voice -- an unexpected talent at odds with her frumpy, eccentric appearance. Her performance has clicked north of 50 million views on YouTube, and although she has yet to win the competition, Simon thinks she's a definite star in the making.
